Nike Readies New Pegasus Trail 2
Perfect for your off-road running excursions.
Nike Running has added a new silhouette to its summertime lineup: the Pegasus Trail 2. An off-road makeup that belongs to the beloved Pegasus line, this second Pegasus Trail retains much of the same tech and ethos as its standard running counterparts — but bolsters its build to ensure it can handle trails, tracks and hills alike.
Uppers are dressed in a mix of “Barely Volt,” “Laser Blue” and “Poison Green.” The first of these shades appears on the toebox and midfoot’s mesh overlay before giving way to a “Poison Green” ripstop base towards the heel and eyestays. This dual-layered design is played up further with perforated detailing on the toebox and midfoot, plus interesting, branded black heel tabs that rise up from the overlay’s rearmost piece. “Laser Blue” then graces the neoprene throat and collar, making for a socklike build and overall color scheme somewhat reminiscent of the Air Huarache‘s famous “Scream Green” colorway.
Remaining branding is handled by a bold black Swoosh that dips into the forefoot before crescendoing towards the heel on the lateral side plus an off-road inspired graphic on the medial midfoot. Small Swooshes appear on the lateral heel by the aforementioned heel tab, and final trail graphics grace tongues and outsoles alike. React foam midsoles offer a two-tone speckled brown style with Zoom Air loaded in the forefoot for a responsive ride, and toothed brown rubber outsoles that reach up to a toe bumper ensure all-terrain grip.
The Nike Pegasus Trail 2 is set to release in the coming weeks on the Nike webstore, and is priced at $130 USD.
