Mysterious Ski-Masked Musician RMR Taps Future and Lil Baby for "DEALER" Remix
His ‘Drug Dealing Is A Lost Art’ EP debuts March 29.
Who exactly is the mysterious masked musician named RMR? For now, that’s not important. What is important though is that in the timeframe of just over two months he burst onto the scene with his Rascal Flatts country-rap cover “Rascal” garnering millions of views despite the music video being taken down numerous times due to copyright issues. Then RMR (pronounced Rumor) followed up with his first original work with “DEALER”. Now that track gets the remix of all remixes with Atlanta superstars Future and Lil Baby adding guest verses. Does this hint at a possible Atlanta origin for RMR? Nobody knows.
The track also comes with the announcement via CMNTY CULTURE and Warner Records that his debut Drug Dealing Is A Lost Art EP will arrive March 29. RMR’s original “DEALER” made a Future cameo all the more possible given the subject matter. The rapper faded in and out of consciousness in the backseat of a moving vehicle with a cup full of codeine, singing, “Percocet, pills, my n*gga/ Can’t stop f*ckin’ ’round with ‘em/ Pop a Xan, gon’ sip a Tech with it/ Codeine got me in my feelings.”
Future continues the dirty soda thematics with his signature autotune and there’s even a vintage Fruitopia reference in there for good measure. Lil Baby continues his incredible run post My Turn with a rapid-fire verse. As for RMR, he seems right at home with two of the biggest stars in hip-hop. RMR was recently spotted in the studio with Mike Dean and Timbaland, so the future is looking bright for the enigmatic ski-masked artist.
