Lil Baby Reconnects With 42 Dugg for "We Paid" Music Video

Lil Baby dropped six new tracks to kick off this month, introducing the world to his celebratory My Turn (Deluxe) edition. Of those new tracks, the Atlanta superstar tapped frequent collaborator 42 Dugg for the standout “We Paid.” Now the duo returns with the official music video.

The visual effort follows their recent “Hard Times” from Dugg’s Young and Turnt 2 project and their chemistry is in top form once again. They keep things simple for this video, counting cash in front of American-made sports cars, speeding through the Atlanta streets and flexing some love for archival BAPE camouflage. The true standout here is Dugg’s slurred auto-tuned bars over Section 8’s instrumental.

Baby has been on a tear over the past three years, and it was recently announced that he tied Prince and Paul McCartney for the most number of Billboard Hot 100 entries. You’d be hard-pressed to find another artist (well, maybe besides DaBaby) who has been as aggressive with video rollouts for their projects as Lil Baby. “We Paid” follows “All In”, “No Sucker”, “Grace” (also featuring 42 Dugg) and his Lil Wayne-assisted “Forever.”

The original My Turn earned the 25-year-old rapper his first number one album. Watch the full offering below and stay tuned for more from Lil Baby in the near future.

In more music updates, Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes joined HYPEBEAST to talk about their new collaborative album What Kinda Music in a new interview.
