Although adidas‘s UltraBOOST 1.0 debuted in February 2015, Kanye West first made the shoe famous when he was spotted rocking a “Triple White” pair in May of that same year. Half a decade has passed since then, and the UltraBOOST has risen to become a pillar of both adidas Running and adidas lifestyle footwear, so the “Triple White” 1.0 is returning in celebration this May.

All the original details are intact, from the stark white Primeknit upper to the flat white Three Stripe midfoot cage and rounded heel clip. Metallic silver UltraBOOST branding graces this supportive rear structure, and a small adidas logo is present on the knit tongue. Down below, a full-foot white BOOST midsole offers the lauded cushioning that the UB is known for, and in a true-to-2015 detail, black outsoles feature a track spike-like nubbed traction pattern — a setup used before Continental outsoles were brought to the UltraBOOST line in later years.

The “Triple White” return is not without precedent, as the tail end of 2019 saw OG-style “Solar Yellow” and “Solar Orange” makeups receive a second release. However, as the “Triple White” is arguably the UltraBOOST’s most famous in-line model, this release is extra special for adidas aficionados and West’s acolytes as well.

Look for the adidas UltraBOOST 1.0 “Triple White” to arrive at retailers like Foot District come May 17, with a standard MSRP of $180 USD. If you’re not in the mood to wait, select sizes are also available at Stadium Goods now for $340 USD.
