Nike's Heritage Windrunner Jacket Gets Modernized for Summer 2020
An updated take on the retro style.

Throughout its nearly five decades in existence, Nike‘s Heritage Windrunner has seen its fair share of colorways and advancements. It goes according to plan then that for the upcoming Summer 2020 capsule, the retro jacket returns in even more vibrant colorways and with a refreshing design update.
Bred in the late ’70s, Nike’s Windrunner was immediately defined by its chevron stripe detail, which has effectively been “turned off” for the SS20 season. The brand has swapped the classic pattern for more modernized takes, opting to lean on geometric layouts with the help of vivid ’80s-style colorblocking.
Another nod to the past comes by way of the heavyweight crinkle nylon-crafted shell, which offers an old-school look with a fabrication that’s been enhanced for the new age. Still, there are plenty of components intact to honor the aesthetic and integrity of the original jacket. Raglan sleeves, elongated zippers and drawstring hoods offer functionality, while bold colorways throughout accentuate the sporty energy.
Nike Sportswear’s Heritage Windrunner is slated to release in the near future at Nike’s webstore.
