Nike has officially expanded its performance apparel ecosystem with the introduction of the Nike Tech SF3 and Nike Tech Boreas, transforming the foundational fleece line into an all-weather technical platform. The refreshed collection adopts a solution-driven, fabric-first approach designed to equip athletes across diverse climates and conditions.
The launch marks a structural shift for Nike Tech, evolving from a single fleece franchise into a year-round range of specialized functional wear. Headlining the weather-resistant offerings is the Nike Tech SF3, a fully waterproof outerwear silhouette engineered with Storm-FIT technology. Built from recycled materials, the jacket features fully sealed seams to block out moisture while preserving internal airflow, constructed from a technical textile that gradually softens with repeated wear.
Complementing the technical shell is the Nike Tech Boreas, named after the Greek god of the north wind. Cut with a boxy, oversized profile, the garment utilizes thick high-pile fleece reinforced with water-repellent paneling. The fleece is slated to arrive in three initial colorways: “Black,” “Velvet Brown,” and “New Slate.” Alongside the SF3 and Boreas, the broader collection retains traditional Tech Fleece while adding lightweight Helios, Shori, and Woven styles engineered for warmer environments.
