The 11-piece capsule introduces new iterations of some of the designer’s signature pieces found in her Spring/Summer 2020 collection. It ranges from patchwork sweatshirts and pants to more sophisticated items, such as the designer’s patchwork upcycled silk-blend shirt, which combines satin fragments with patterned stripes allowing for each piece to be completely unique from the next.
Elsewhere the capsule brings elements of Western fashion with its denim jacket and jeans that combine both blue and white reclaimed cotton, once again coming in a patchwork finish. There is also luxe loungewear in the form of the reclaimed cotton safari-pocket striped jacket and matching trousers, as well as everyday staples such as an organic cotton T-shirt that celebrates Priya Ahluwalia’s dual Indian-Nigerian heritage with a series of family portraits.
Rounding out the collection is the two abstract pieces, coming in the form of an upcycled patchwork shirt and a pair of silk shorts.
