Netflix Shares Official Trailer for Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan's 'HOLLYWOOD'
Starring the likes of Queen Latifah, Darren Criss and more.
The first official trailer of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s newest Netflix Original miniseries HOLLYWOOD has arrived. Set after World War II, the seven-episode show focuses on a group of characters hoping to make it in Hollywood, exploring the discriminatory structure of the industry that still remain true today:
HOLLYWOOD follows a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers in post-World War II Hollywood as they try to make it in Tinseltown — no matter the cost. Each character offers a unique glimpse behind the gilded curtain of Hollywood’s Golden Age, spotlighting the unfair systems and biases across race, gender and sexuality that continue to this day.
A number of Murphy staples are set to appear on the show, including Darren Criss (Glee, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story: Murder House, American Horror Story: Asylum, American Horror Story: 1984) and Patti LuPone (Pose, American Horror Story: Coven). Joining the regular faces are the likes of Laura Harrier, David Corenswet, Jeremy Pope and Samara Weaving, plus a number of notable figures including Queen Latifah, Jim Parsons and Holland Taylor (current partner of Sarah Paulson who appeared in numerous seasons of American Horror Story and The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story).
