Jacquemus Spotlights Steve Lacy in Candid SS20 Campaign

Simon Porte Jacquemus’ menswear line has unveiled its laid-back campaign for the Spring/Summer 2020 season featuring Steve Lacy. Captured by French photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, the images highlight the boutique’s seasonal range of layering pieces accented by illustrative flowers and playful patterns.
Due to shelter in place policies amidst COVID-19, Simon Porte Jacquemus had to find a creative way to shoot his spring and summer campaigns. His newly launched “Jacquemus at Home” series is an alternative to past campaigns, utilizing self-isolation and technology to create a candid collection of photos from home.
For the men’s campaign, the designer acted as the creative director of the shoot, while Carlotti took photos of the American singer-songwriter within his own home via FaceTime. Lacy stands at a counter wearing a simple white button-down shirt with scripted branding at the bottom, before sitting on his bed in flower printed shorts. Dressed in a T-shirt and shorts covered in blue daisies, Lacy poses on an orange chair-like structure featured in the cover art for his debut album Apollo XXI.
