Outdoor Voices x HOKA ONE ONE Goes Greyscale
A simple, yet effective collaborative colorway for the lightweight runner.
Outdoor Voices and HOKA ONE ONE have reunited for a striking silver take on the popular Clifton. Following up a rainbow-laced Clifton that released in April 2019, the partners have opted to present a more monochromatic look this time around.
Centered around an ethos of “doing things,” the shoe’s lightweight mesh uppers are dressed in a soft grey, with fused overlays and laces dressed in a darker grey tone for contrast. Co-branded details are mostly kept to a minimum: a large HOKA text hit appears on the medial heel, a small Outdoor Voices embellishment garnishes the lateral heel, and both logos are brought together in subtle fashion on tongue and insole alike.
Although its overall shape may err towards the beefy end of the spectrum, the Clifton is extremely lightweight and offers a mere 5mm drop from heel to forefoot. This makes for a flat and stable ride atop the sumptuous foam folds of the midsole. Heel tabs aid with easy entry, and hardened rubber in high-wear areas on the outsole increases durability. Finally, a choice between grey and blue laces provides customizable flair.
The Outdoor Voices x HOKA ONE ONE Clifton is available now on the HOKA ONE ONE webstore, and retails for $140 USD.
