Parley Reworks the adidas UltraBOOST DNA
Two fresh styles to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Parley’s first UltraBOOST.
Parley is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its first adidas UltraBOOST collaboration with a duo of new takes on the UltraBOOST DNA. Unlike previous models in the UltraBOOST line the DNA is geared strictly towards lifestyle wear, and it presents Parley’s signature recycled ocean plastics in a bold new fashion.
Arriving in “Cloud White” and “Core Black” colorways, each style’s one-piece upper is covered by stitched “Blue Spirit” stripes, reaching from toebox to heel while rising and falling like waves around the midfoot. Branding is kept to a minimum, handled mostly by embroidered tonal adidas graphics on the quarter and tongue. Parley’s logo is stamped on the sockliner, and each style is completed by a full-foot white BOOST midsole and black rubber outsole in classic UltraBOOST fashion.
As the UB enters the second half of its first decade on the market, models like this new Parley style and the UltraBOOST S&L seem to be making a firm push towards the lifestyle sphere. This is phenomenon is decidedly modern: even though the UltraBOOST has always been a tremendously popular choice for everyday wear, the vast majority of its iterations — save for the UltraBOOST Uncaged — are still geared towards performance at their core.
The Parley adidas UltraBOOST DNA will release via the adidas webstore on June 8, and is priced at $180 USD.
