BEAMS and HOKA have partnered on a new Bondi 7, revealing the collaboration with a serene campaign set against a traditional Japanese Zen garden. In two neutral colorways, the Bondi 7 is set for imminent release, coming the first week of August.
In keeping with the wabi-sabi themes of the lookbook, HOKA’s ultra-cushioned lifestyle runner gains a new rustic sensibility with a subtle all-over camouflage. Offering consistent all-day comfort, Bondi 7 boasts a relatively pared-back upper made from textured mesh with taping hugging the back heel. On the back, suede heel counters are finished with reflective stripes for a bright accent. Offered in an earthy brown and creamy off-white, both colorways are completely covered in tonal camouflage from the midsole to the uppers. The camouflage effect gives the model a naturalistic feel akin to the specks found in pebbles and stones. Furthermore, the vertical, combed overlays surrounding the toe-box resemble the raked hōkime patterns often seen in traditional Zen gardens.
Starting on August 7, pre-sale will begin at BEAMS Harajuku and BEAMS BOY Harajuku and will subsequently be available at BEAMS and BEAMS BOY stores and the official BEAMS webstore on August 8. On August 14, the collaboration will drop globally at HOKA and select HOKA retailers.
