Nike Sportswear Readies Air Max 2090 "Retro Futurism" Pack
Three new colorways, each inspired by retro-futuristic art.

Combining the past, present and future of Nike Sportswear‘s Air Max offerings, the Air Max 2090 is a highly conceptual lifestyle silhouette that’s now set to release in a three-style “Retro Futurism” pack. The offerings consist of a crisp white/green pair, a Phoenix Suns-esque mix of purple and orange and a lighter-toned pink and orange makeup.
Designed by Air Max Senior Creative Director Dylan Raasch, the three-pack of new lifestyle kicks draws its vibrant inspiration from future modes of transportation and retro-futuristic art. The white/green pair nods to clear skies, with the orange/purple giving off desert-like earth vibes and the pink/orange aiming to encapsulate the feel of futuristic city lights at dusk. Each offers a sleek TPE sheath on the upper and a large heel Air Max unit that’s reminiscent of the recent Air Max 200.
Ridged midsole and heel details nod to Tinker Hatfield‘s iconic Air Max 90, a silhouette that’s celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2020. Modern branding on each upper, cut-out oval tongue tags and classic heel tabs finalize all three styles.
These Air Max 2090s are set to release on the Nike webstore come May 7, and each pair retails for $150 USD.
