The Pokémon Company released a new trailer for Sword and Shield showcasing new Gigantamax forms and the upcoming starter from “The Isle of Armor” DLC. The video above features the Gigantamax for the title’s starter Pokémon Cinderance, Rillaboom, and Inteleon. It also shows off their unique G-Max moves.

We also get a look at footage from the Sword and Shield expansion pass. Kubfu, your legendary-starter for the DLC, is also officially introduced. The bear Pokémon has a unique evolution that will be determined by which tower each trainer decides to take during the “Isle of Armor” this June.

According to the surprise Nintendo Direct Mini video below, “Isle of Armor” will allow players to take one of two routes. The tower the player defeats will determine what Urshifu form Kubfu will evolve into. The Isle will offer new outfits, hairstyles and league card backgrounds. If players buy the expansion or the expansion pass early, they will also receive Leon’s caps and tights as an in-game bonus — this offer will only be available until August 31, according to Nintendo.

Nintendo also announced a new Easter update for Animal Crossing: New Horizon, a release date for the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, and more in its surprise Nintendo Direct Mini this morning.

Be sure to check out the trailer above, and grab the “Isle of Armor” DLC by the end of June 2020, followed by “The Crown Tundra” later this fall.

In other gaming news, Animal Crossing: New Horizon sales have broken Nintendo Switch records in Japan.
