Ari Lennox Drops 'Shea Butter Baby' Remix EP Featuring Doja Cat, Smino
New takes on “BMO,” “I Been” and more.
Ari Lennox has just followed up to her soulful debut album Shea Butter Baby with a new remix EP for fans. For the three-song project, Lennox enlisted fellow artists Doja Cat, Smino, and Durand Bernarr to put their own spins on three of the sultry tracks from the original album.
Doja Cat’s remix kicks things off, as the eccentric singer hops on to “BMO” to add her domineering and risqué lyrics. Next up, rapper Smino lends his unique tempo and energetic bars to Lennox’s impassioned record “I Been.”
Vocalist Durand Bernarr then takes his turn by joining in on “Facetime,” turning the sensual track into a sexy duet. See how the Shea Butter Baby remix EP stacks up to the original by streaming it now below.
Elsewhere for Lennox, the singer recently released the “Amnesia” music video with Dreamville’s Bas. Smino, meanwhile, delivered his latest single “Tempo” earlier this month.
