Nike Air Max 2090 Lineup Expands With Blue and Fuchsia Colorway
Classic colorblocking, bold new silhouette.

Air Max Day 2020 is in the books, and Nike‘s Air Max 2090 — a shoe that was a large piece of this year’s AMD push — is settling into its role in the Nike Sportswear lineup with a new “Blue Void/Active Fuchsia” colorway. Designed by Air Max Senior Creative Director Dylan Raasch, the 2090 is equal parts past and future, simultaneously saluting the legacy of the Air Max 90 while looking ahead to forthcoming generations of lifestyle Max.
Synthetic uppers are dressed in rich dark navy blue and black hues, with accents arriving via purple and yellow seams plus a yellow outlined midfoot Swoosh. Moving closer to the collar, the tongue presents a tilted, cut-out purple oval graphic embellished with black Air branding and Swooshes. Heels take on yellow pull tabs and rubberized purple badges.
These heel badges combine with a ridged purple piece on the midsole’s rear half to provide an obvious nod to the aforementioned AM90. The jet-black Air unit is sizable but not colossal, sitting somewhere between the Air Max 90 and the Air Max 200. The midsole’s forefoot is made of gray EVA foam, and black/purple/yellow outsoles complete the look.
The Nike Air Max 2090 “Blue Void/Active Fuchsia” will release at Nike JP in the coming days, and retails for $150 USD. It’s a Nike “members exclusive,” but to become a Nike member all you need to do is sign up for a free Swoosh account.
Throwing it back a few decades, the revitalized Nike Air Max Plus 3 recently released in a sporty “Black/Track Red” colorway.
