Just like its adult counterpart, the forthcoming collaboration reimagines the OG “Black Metallic” colorway with a translucent TPE deconstructed design. Circular cutouts and exposed black stitching on the midfoot cages liken to Virgil Abloh‘s previous “Ghosting” releases, while Jordan Brand, Off-White™ and Nike Air branding hits land on the Jumpman-marked 3M reflective tongues, upside-down “Air Jordan” patches, the “23” heel mark, and classic motifs at the rear and on the outsole. Elements of Virgil and Nike’s ongoing partnership can also be found on the Helvetica text on the medial midfoot, “SHOELACES” printed on the lace tips and the Off-White™ signature plastic zip-tie hangtag in black. The Jordan silhouette rests on a black and speckled grey midsole, contrasted by a yellow/gum-like translucent rubber outsole for a worn look.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 PS and TD sizes will most likely arrive in February — the same time as its adult sizing — priced at $70 USD for the TD iteration and $90 USD for the PS iteration.
Elsewhere in footwear, Y-3 goes minimal with the Yuben Mid sneaker.
