Megan Thee Stallion is in high demand since bursting onto the scene last year with explosive hits like “Big Ole Freak” and “Cash Sh*t” from her debut studio album, Fever. Now, the Houston-bred musician is taking her talents to the fashion world in an exclusive new collaboration with Depop, becoming the first celebrity to ever partner with the British shopping app.
In an aptly titled — and literally fiery — “Texas Fever” lookbook, Megan gives fans a glimpse into her own closet of spicy looks and some of the unique pieces from Depop’s leading sellers in Houston. Dare to dress like Megan in her vibrant threads from “Hot Girl Summer”, “All Dat,” and other lively videos? Look no further than the artist’s own Depop shop (@theestallion) where she’ll be dropping select styles that come straight from the visuals themselves.
The campaign also incorporates unique styles and vintage goods from four of the app’s top users: Olivia Haroutounian (@reallifeasliv), Raily Orgeron (@wildtxthrifts), Meno Perry and Carmen Levy (@retroklozett), and Drew Parker (@imperialxempire). Items like fringed belt skirts, slick red jumpsuits and colorblocked chaps further the eccentric medley of “hot girl” looks, blending in seamlessly alongside Megan’s notable music video pieces like mesh tiger-striped shirts and tasseled blazer jackets.
“Texas is having a moment right now. We’ve got a style and a swag that people want,” Megan Thee Stallion said. “Depop is like a creative community that brings Texas fever worldwide and allows anyone to get a piece of that hot girl 2020.”
Look out for the collection to become available on Depop’s app starting on January 17. In the meantime, catch up on Megan’s recent NPR Tiny Desk concert to see her first-ever public performance with a live band.
