Lil Tracy Delivers New 'Anarchy' Single "Beautiful Nightmare"
A rock-inflected spin on his signature style.
Lil Tracy digs deep into his range of emo and rock influences for his latest solo record, “Beautiful Nightmare.” The follow-up to last month’s “Bad For You” track, “Beautiful Nightmare” is Tracy’s latest major Anarchy single and finds him referencing Lil Peep, blacked-out Mercedes Benz rides, diamond chains, tattoos and more.
“Your face, in my dreams / You’re nothin’ but a beautiful nightmare / Don’t go away, just stay, just stay,” Lil Tracy croons on “Beautiful Nightmare.” “Pull up in that Benz truck, bumpin’ Lil Peep / I got diamonds on my teeth, promise you it wasn’t cheap / Yeah baby, that’s me, on the front of magazines / I don’t f*ck with the police, I be smoking gasoline / Your clothes on my floor, you’re in my bed / I’ll never forget the things you said / I thought I wanted more, now I’m not sure / ‘Cause when you’re not here I just feel dead.”
“Beautiful Nightmare” is one of nine tracks set to make up Lil Tracy’s Anarchy LP, which is scheduled to see release this Friday, September 20. The song was produced by the duo of Nadir and Lukrative, and was first teased through Instagram this past May. Since that original May introduction, several snippets of “Beautiful Nightmare” have surfaced throughout social media.
