FILA Is Bringing Back the Classic Grant Hill 2 for 2019
The sneaker was first released in 1996.
Earlier this summer, FILA introduced its 2019 Explore line — a limited-edition range that blended modern trends with classic outdoor and mountaineering styles. Now, with the warmer season coming to a close, the iconic sportswear brand is back with plans for a new sneaker. Specifically, FILA is resurrecting basketball Hall of Famer Grant Hill’s second signature shoe, the fittingly-titled Grant Hill 2.
First introduced to consumers in 1996, the Grant Hill 2 is being brought back in its original form. This latest run of Grant Hill sneakers is available in black, navy blue and red colorways, and also contains separate “Low” and Kid’s iterations. Concerning its construction, the Grant Hill 2 re-release boasts a luxe leather build, with FILA’s classic branding on the side, toe, ankle collar and tongue.
“The legacy continues,” reads an official statement from FILA. “First released in 1996, one of basketball’s most recognizable silhouettes is back. Celebrate Naismith Basketball Hall-of-Famer @realgranthill with the return of our Grant Hill 2 collection.”
