03 Greedo Debuts Two New Potential Hits, "She's Foreign" & "Bring the Block Outside"
He’s still killing it from behind bars.
Two months after teaming up with Travis Barker for the collaborative Meet the Drummers EP, currently-incarcerated superstar 03 Greedo serves up two new singles, “She’s Foreign” and “Bring the Block Outside.” This latest two-song drop from the Watts singer-songwriter is just a small part of a vast collection of unreleased cuts, all of which were recorded and put together before Greedo turned himself in to serve a lengthy prison sentence.
“[There are] more than 30 albums in the vault,” Greedo told Complex. “But the way the music is released now, some of the albums will just be broken down as singles or loosies.”
“My music’s so colorful cause I’ve lived [all over]. I never really listened to hip-hop. I went to school with mostly white kids. BG and Hot Boys? You can talk about that in the hood, but in white schools, you gotta keep up with the Joneses,” 03 Greedo previously shared with Rolling Stone during a July 2018 conversation, opening up about the eclectic range of creative influences that inform tracks like “She’s Foreign” and “Bring the Block Outside”. “I was listening to Kanye’s new song, and it went to some girl named Jorja Smith. Her shit was hard as a motherfucker. That’s the shit I like. Lana Del Rey … I wanna listen to everything. That’s my job. I gotta keep up. I’m like the football n***as watching film … my stories come from real life … I don’t say nothing that ain’t true, even when it’s not good for me. Shit, I be tellin’ on myself. If I don’t be myself, that shit burn my skin, I’ma melt like something in the movies.”
