UPDATE 9/20/19: According to the sneaker leakers behind @pyleaks, the Off-White™ x Nike Waffle Racer SP sneakers have seen their release date pushed back another month. According to a recent tweet, the group estimates that the womens’ silhouette will arrive in late October — October 24, to be specific. A $150 USD price tag is also expected.

ORIGINAL STORY (8/14/19): Continuing their collaborative relationship Virgil Abloh and Nike are now gearing up to release the anticipated Off-White™ x Waffle Racer SP.

Releasing in three colorways, the women’s sneaker continues the post-run apparel and performance product theme of  Virgil’s “Athlete in Progress” collection. The “Black/Purple/White,” “White/Sail/Silver” and “Teal/Volt/Black” color schemes appear under a netted film that surrounds the upper of shoe, replicating the look of athlete’s tape. Interestingly, the shoe features both traditional and hiking-inspired lacing systems appearing above the exposed tongue portion. Additional decorative details comes in the form of retro Nike tongue tags, “NIKE” printed at the rear, midfoot Swooshes, orange tabs and industrial style print motifs. Rounding up the design of the shoe is a segmented phylon midsole paired with a contrasting spiked rubber outsole.

Take a look at the Off-White™ x Nike Waffle Racer SP colorways below and look for the shoe to release on nike.com and select retailers come September 5.
