Stéphane Ashpool Previews His Les Métiers d’Art de CHANEL Partnership (UPDATE)
Featuring knitwear and fur-trimmed sneakers.

UPDATE (September 20,2019:) After receiving correspondence with a CHANEL rep, it is worth noting that this partnership is not with CHANEL studio but with Les Métiers d’Art de CHANEL — the luxury house’s arm which celebrates top artisans and designers to highlight prestigious craftsmanship.
Specifically for ANDAM 30´s anniversary exhibit, Stéphane Ashpool with the help of Les Métiers d’Art de CHANEL, was able to create a silhouette for the celebration alongside the following ateliers: Barrie for a set of cashmere hoodies and sweatpants, Causse for a pair of patchwork gloves, Lemaire for a mask and sneakers, Lesage for a tweed jacket and finally Gensi for a pair of sneakers.
The partnership was part of the celebratory exhibit which opened earlier this month.
ORIGINAL STORY (September 13, 2019): Pigalle creative director Stéphane Ashpool has unveiled a preview of an upcoming collaboration with Chanel, created in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the ANDAM Fashion Award. Ashpool, who won the esteemed grand prize in 2015, took to Instagram to share a few images of what’s to come.
The capsule was inspired by an imaginative character that Ashpool conceived, dubbed the Sun Dog, whose colorful, wolf-like face sets the tone throughout the assortment. Shades of off-white, pink, blue and yellow make up the color palette for the pieces, which include a boxy textured jacket, side-striped sweatpants and colorblocked knitwear. The designer also revealed a look at the sneakers in the range, which is marked by furry trimming along the toe-cap that references the Sun Dog. A pair of leather motorcycle gloves adds a sporty accessory to the mix.
There’s been no release date shared as of yet, so stay tuned for more details on the capsule.
