UPDATE: Following the release of his new single “Intro,” DaBaby followed up with the official video, which showcases his newfound fame alongside friends and family. It also features scenes of DaBaby in a church with a casket, which alludes to the death of his father during his meteoric rise to fame. Watch the visuals above.

Original Story (9/19/19): DaBaby showcases the introspective and reflective side of his artistic style for his latest single, “Into.” Produced by DJ Kid, “Intro” serves as the follow-up to his recent collaborative visual and single with Stunna 4 Vegas, “Ashley.” Notably, today’s record also stands as DaBaby’s first major, original solo release since his Baby On Baby LP debuted in March.

“I just stayed consistent and kept being creative,” DaBaby explained to us earlier this year, sharing some insight into his back-story and creative approach. “I was never scared to just jump in there and try something new –especially when I, when I really jumped out there and started just doing whatever, just doing me … I ain’t afraid to be creative. Ni**as will sit around, play around and joke around all day but feel like as soon as the camera comes on they got to be the toughest ni**a in the world.”

“We just work hard so when we have fun, we have fun,” DaBaby adds. “When you find a way to have fun, while you’re working, and it works for the supporters, it works for the people that’s viewing your shit, they like it — it’s different. Why would you shy away from it?”

You can check out DaBaby’s new single “Intro” above, and stay tuned for more from the Charlotte superstar.
