Fresh off an appearance on Quality Control’s Control the Streets Volume 2 project, DaBaby is reconnecting with his Billion Dollar Baby cohort Stunna 4 Vegas for a new visual in support of their recent collaborative single “Ashley.” Released as part of Stunna 4 Vegas’ recent studio project BIG 4x, “Ashley” is given new life as a music video thanks to Reel Goats, the directorial powerhouse behind DaBaby’s popular music videos. Like most of DaBaby and Reel Goats’ past visual collaborations, the “Ashley” vignette doesn’t take itself too seriously, pulling inspirational cues from Fresh Prince to produce a humorous, light-hearted and fun narrative. Eschewing the usual menace and tough-guy posturing found in many of today’s music videos, Stunna 4 Vegas and DaBaby aim to produce smiles and laughs over mean-mugging and scowls.

“I ain’t afraid to be creative,” DaBaby shared with us for a March episode of our Conversations With series, explaining his comedic approach to music videos like this latest clip for “Ashley.” “It ain’t nothing. N***as will sit around, play around and joke around all day but feel like as soon as the camera comes on they got to be the toughest ni**a in the world. If you walking around all day like that, more power to you that ain’t what we on. We just work hard, so when we have fun, we have fun.”

“When you find a way to have fun while you’re working and it works for the supporters, it works for the people that’s viewing your shit,” DaBaby adds. “They like it — it’s different. Why would you shy away from it? So when it comes to videos, I’m all the way out there. We f*ck around and do whatever.”

You can take a look at Stunna 4 Vegas and DaBaby’s new music video for “Ashley” above.

Last month, DaBaby also released a music video for “Carpet Burn.”
