Daidō Moriyama x WACKO MARIA Summer 2019 Capsule
Continuing their collaborative relationship, Daidō Moriyama and WACKO MARIA have come together once again on another collaborative capsule. This time around, the special range is comprised of minimalist layering pieces elevated by Moriyama’s signature stark photography.
Altogether the six white or black heavyweight crewneck sweaters and T-shirts emphasize Moriyama’s suggestive artwork. Photographs selected for the capsule include shots of palm trees on a beach to flyers for call girls and sexually-charged films. One print in particular showcases a neon sign for nudes (written in Japanese Katakana), while another displays a picture of a presenter sitting in front of a wall of traditional art.

Josephine Meckseper x Helmut Lang Capsule
Back with the latest installment of its ongoing artist collaborations series, Helmut Lang has tapped multimedia artist Josephine Meckseper for a selection of hand-painted pieces, referencing the brand’s three-striped trucker jacket from the ’90s.
Meckseper has reinterpreted the original 1997 design of the trucker, using a screen-printing technique to give the striped layout a three-dimensional effect. The unique graphic detail has also been applied on the front of a T-shirt and on the cuffs of a pair of matching jeans.
