The jacket is inspired by the 1969 space race between the Soviet Union’s cosmonauts and the U.S.’ Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, as well as current conquests in reaching Mars. The collaborative duo have finished the limited-edition piece in black, as well as adorned its entire body in badges inspired by stamps, posters, and merchandise from the event. Additionally the signature Alpha Industries flight jacket zip-pull is featured on the left arm. The zip-pull has also been given an extraterrestrial tweak, adding a grey “WE COME IN PEACE” tag next to the standard “REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT” tag.
No detail was left unturned as the jacket features a small planet pin on the central zipper and a spaceman on the collar, as well as a number of standout badges and patches such as a plushy moon character and a large real solar system graphic throughout.
In other outer space news, the “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us” event will be streamed live.
