Futura is joining forces with the New York Mets on a special three-piece capsule collection to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the MLB team’s 1969 championship season. The collaborative release includes a ‘Pointman’ bobblehead, replica jersey, and a New Era 5950 baseball cap. Accompanying the partnered offerings, the legendary graffiti artist will throw the first pitch of the game and paint a unique piece at the Citi Field stadium during the Mets and Pirates face-off this July 27.
Only VIP ticket holders at the upcoming game will be able to receive the promotional gift box containing all three items. Tickets go on sale this July 17 at 5 p.m. EST. Visit MLB’s special landing page for the collaboration for more details. For those who are not able to attend the game, the limited units for the rest of the world are available on July 22 beyond the tri-state region: NY, NJ, and CT.
In other art collaborations, Brandalism and Medicom Toy recently unveiled a new Banksy-inspired ‘Monkey Sign’ figure.
