Pigalle's Stéphane Ashpool Wins 2015 ANDAM'S Grand Prix Style Award
A coveted fashion prize that solidifies Pigalle’s standing as a bona fide streetwear/high fashion label.

Pigalle‘s Stéphane Ashpool has just won the coveted ANDAM Grand Prix style award for his high-energy 2016 spring/summer show, beating out fellow competitors including Umit Benan, Anrealage, Pallas and VETEMENTS. The ANDAM (National Association for the Development of Fashion Arts) was founded in 1989 and is led by the legendary Pierre Bergé, with the aim of supporting and promoting French and international fashion designers. The coveted accolade was previously awarded to Martin Margiela, Victor & Rolf, Jeremy Scott and Gareth Pugh among others.
This year’s jury included Haider Ackermann, Renzo Rosso, Caroline de Maigret and Pierre-Yves Roussel, who chose Ashpool to receive a €250,000 EUR (approximately $276,050 USD) endowment, two seasons of mentorship with Chanel’s Bruno Pavlovsky, €10,000 EUR’s (approximately $11,042 USD) worth of Swarovski crystals, as well as brand building guidance from MAC Cosmetics.
When asked about what he plans to do with the prize money, Ashpool said, “I’m going to invest in a proper in-house atelier from which to design, create, communicate and sell. What you’d call in the past a maison couture, but with a new flavor.”
