MCM FW19 Delivers Understated Layers and Statement Bags

Lavish leather goods meet sleek winter wearables.

Following the German label’s Billie Eilish-centric campaign, MCM has introduced a selection of looks showcasing its Fall/Winter 2019 collection. The looks highlight pristine styling with clean lines that emphasize the playful patterns and lush fabrication, a natural complement to the color-drenched bags.

Key to both the men’s and women’s lines are several all-over patterned set-ups, with matching sweaters, polo shirts and pants offered in blue or green editions, placing the focus upon the repeated MCM logos — other items cut the branding in half or hide it at the hem of the items. Up top, layers include leather parkas quilted bomber jackets, fuzzy sweaters, cargo vests and collegiate-style scarves, with the hefty Himmel running sneakers lending visual weight to the baggy trousers.

Naturally, MCM’s iconic bags are tweaked with prints and colors that match the clothing. Notable gear includes the Anya shoulder bags, Loden backpacks and ever-popular Visetos pouch bags, all served up in bright leather, wool and shearling, complete with the occasional winter-appropriate animal print (like white arctic hares).

Head to MCM’s website to shop the Fall/Winter 2019 items.

Elsewhere, Virgil Abloh introduced Louis Vuitton‘s latest selection of luxury bags.
