Salomon has unveiled two new colorways for its XT-6 GORE-TEX (GTX) model, namely, “Safari/Black” and “Black/Silver” — both providing simple, understated looks.

Recently celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the XT-6 silhouette has proven to be an icon of the outdoor performance brand, a canvas for collaborations with names like Atmos and a model that continues to undergo material experimentation.

While the two new colorways of the XT-6 GTX maintain the brand’s iconic multi-colored tongue tag, the rest of their design is much more subtle. The “Safari/Black” colorway comes to life with primarily sand-colored tones that make up most of the shoe, including the GORE-TEX base layer. Branding elements of the shoe are then found accented in a jet black at the toe and heel of the pair.

As for the “Black/Silver” XT-6 GTX, it features a primarily black makeup, with sleek silver accents in a matte finish that isn’t overwhelming to the eye. Both pairs sit on Salomon’s AC2 Muscle outsoles and feature trail-ready treads that either match or complement their respective uppers.

The new Salomon XT-6 GTX colorways are expected to drop soon via its official site for a retail price of $220 USD.
