Update: It’s safe to assume that an official collaboration is brewing between Salehe Bembubry and New Balance as the New Balance Only Instagram page just reposted another teaser of the sneakers. Providing a fairly clear view of the kicks on both sides, the pair of sneakers appear to be placed inside Bembury’s footwear-only suitcase for Paris Fashion Week.

Original Story: Salehe Bembury is an avid attendee of Paris Fashion Week, and amidst all of the runway shows and brand activations, he has a tendency to steal the spotlight by debuting upcoming footwear styles. In the past, we’ve seen the creative flex his New Balance 990v2 collaboration and new Crocs Pollex Slide colorways, and now he’s given us a first look at fresh New Balance 1906 colorway.
It’s unclear if this is an official collaboration of his, a one-off or a striking inline iteration, but we can likely expect that information to be confirmed in the coming weeks. In Bembury’s Instagram post, he’s laid back in the back of a car with his foot up to reveal the colorway’s medial side. These 1906s are prepared with fiery gradient accents across its breathable mesh build. A bright yellow hue lands across the toe boxes and gradually transitions into bursts of orange towards the N logos and quarters and red hits along the heels. Webbed overlays across the base and the midsoles are both treated with metallic silver finishes.
Check out a first look at the pair above and sit tight for further word on their official release.
