Official Images of the HIDDEN.NY x ASICS GEL-NYC
The photo editing software-inspired sneaker is rumored to drop in March.
Update: After being teased at the end of 2023, the HIDDEN.NY x ASICS GEL-NYC is nearing its launch with a complete breakdown of the new design revealed. The white, silver and green arrangement utilizes co-branding that references photo editing software with a digital version of ASICS’ Tiger Stripes, sizing handles around HIDDEN.NY’s logo at the lateral heel and a transparency grid at the right shoe’s heel — matching the thematic shoe box. Release is expected to take place this March via HIDDEN.NY and ASICS. Stay tuned for updates and review our initial breakdown of the sneaker below for more info.
Original Story: While HIDDEN.NY started out as just a digital moodboard that lived on Instagram, it has now grown a cult-like following that has allowed the platform to develop into a full fledged brand releasing its own collaborations and merch. Just recently, HIDDEN.NY launched an exclusive drop with Goldwin while also previously celebrating the 20th anniversary of Pharrell‘s brand Billionaire Boys Club with a new collaboration.
This time around, HIDDEN.NY has teased a first look at an upcoming sneaker drop. No stranger to footwear collaborations, having released many in the past including one with Suicoke for a winter holiday release around this time last year, HIDDEN has now teamed up with ASICS on a pair of GEL-NYCs. Many retro ASICS have gained popularity over the years and with the simple HIDDEN signature white and green palette, the collaboration is kept clean.
The shoe arrives in a white mesh base featuring silver synthetic panels across the upper. However, HIDDEN’s branding in the rich green contrast is seen across the vector logos and midsole components on the underfoot. The ASICS logo takes on a pixelated makeover for the collaboration, a nod to the New York-based brand’s online origins. The sole unit is mostly in a greyscale color scheme while its lowercase “h” logo is on the tip of the toe and reworked on the shoe-box for the co-branding.
Look out for the pair set to arrive on HIDDEN.NY soon.
