Miu Miu Introduces New Upcycled Denim Collection
Including bags for the first time.

As the second week of the new year is underway, Miu Miu has revealed its new upcycled denim collection.
Miuccia Prada’s label introduced its first upcycled collection in October of 2020. The new offering marks Miu Miu’s fourth upcycled offering, which continues its commitment to environmental equity through reimagining a catalog of pieces ranging from vintage to non-designer across multiple decades.
To bring the new Upcycled Denim collection to life, the Milan-based brand utilized jeans preceding the year 2000 throughout the word. By taking a global approach to sourcing its material, the range comprises an assortment of design details like unique fading, patina, colors, embellishments and weight.
Comprising the collection is a range of wide-leg jeans, shorts, bra tops, trucker hats, baseball caps and more. Additionally, for the first time, Miu Miu has included bags in an upcycled collection. The bags were specifically crafted from the brand’s deadstock leather. Across the collection, details range from ’50s haute couture-inspired gold and flower embroideries to unique patinas and printed leather labels.
To help launch the collection, Miu Miu enlisted the help of actor Ever Anderson and model Huijia Chen for the accompanying visuals by Jet Swan. Miu Miu’s Upcycled Denim collection is available now in select stores and online.
