While Salehe Bembury had already been recognized by industry experts for the work he did with YEEZY and Versace, the talented designer really entered the mainstream spotlight after his “Peace Be the Journey” New Balance 2002R team-up. And since then, the LA-based creative has further expanded his New Balance catalog with takes on the 574 and Test Run Project 3.0, and now he’s shifting his efforts toward the 990v2.

Paris Fashion Week is all about revealing the new, and Bembury took a moment during the busy event to tease a first look at the sneakers via Instagram. The solo diagonal angle of the shoe reveals that the kicks are expected to have a bold and bright presentation. Standing out on the upper are shaggy suede overlays that are drenched in a dusty pink hue, and this comes contrasted with bold orange mesh underlays. Purple accents are also spotted on the kicks via the felt-textured N logos, 990 branding on the tongues and overlays on the toe boxes. Midsole units — which are loaded up with New Balance‘s ABZORB cushioning — are given a rustic orange paint job and arrive stacked above burgundy outsoles.

Release information surrounding this release will likely turn up in the upcoming months.

For other footwear-related news, The Basement and New Balance have debuted the “Moss Green” 2002R.
