teamLab is usually known for their ethereal installations that often pit visitors in an otherworldly settings. Comprised of a team of architects, engineers, programmers and artists, the collective’s latest exhibition is noticeably different. For the first time, teamLab will be presenting work in Geneva and will distill their reach to the realm of digital art.

Housed at Pace Gallery’s Swiss outpost, Existence in an Infinite Continuity imagines life as an uninterrupted flow of energy. Displayed across a series of digital monitors, the work meditates on the overlooked continuity between our existence and the world — whether a flock of birds flying in unison or simply the movement of our own bodies as we interact with our surroundings. Instead of depicting humans or birds themselves, teamLab visualizes movement through countless minute lines that flow sporadically in various densities on the surrounding airflow.

Additionally, from June 20 to July 3, teamLab will visualize Giacomo Puccini’s final opera Turandot at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. It’s the first time the collective has worked in an opera setting and one that will immerse audiences in a sculptural space of light.

Existence in an Infinite Continuity opened earlier this month and will be on view at Pace Geneva until July 2.

On the topic of exhibitions, Michael Werner Gallery presents Peter Saul: New Works.
