Take a Closer Look at the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 YURT in "Pink/Blue" and "Black/Grey"

Following the reveal of Salehe Bembury‘s new “Universal Communication” collection, we now have a closer look at the latest New Balance 574 YURT arriving at HBX in two colorways. Based on the New Balance 574, the YURT silhouette maintains the functionality of the original trail running shoes while taking on a more unconventional design approach. Most notable is the whistle attached to the heel, which Bembury described as an “emphasis on outdoor safety and survival.” Both sneakers feature the YURT tags, hairy suede overlays, mesh uppers, and leather panels throughout.
First up is the “Pink/Blue” style with a blue foam tongue and white whistle. The off-white canvas is adorned with a pink “N” logo and subtle blue leather details completed with a stacked midsole with pink pill-shaped fixtures and a pink outsole. In contrast, the “Black/Grey” iteration is dominated by black hues across the canvas, tongue while grey tones are seen in the whistle and midsole. Rounding off the design are the white “N” logos on the upper and blue rubber outsole.
