Following the appearance of Kid Cudi in an Off-White™ dress on Saturday Night Live, the increase of gender-fluid fashion continues with Lil Nas X stepping out on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in a red plaid skirt.

For his interview with Jimmy Fallon, Lil Nas X dressed in a boxy ecru blazer over a red plaid skirt and combat boots from Virgil Abloh’s Fall 2021 Louis Vuitton collection. Known for his vibrant style and impactful music, it’s no surprise the American rapper and singer followed in the footsteps of Kanye West when he sported a leather skirt and Diddy in a black and white tartan kilt.

The classic plaid skirt choice is due to Lil Nas X’s recent wardrobe malfunction during his Saturday Night Live performance. The artist’s pants split open down the crotch as he pole danced to his hit track “Call Me By Your Name.”
