Pro Skater Tyshawn Jones Links With Warby Parker for Hand-Layered Sunnies
Thrasher’s 2018 Skater of the Year devises the ‘Harris’ silhouette with intricate flair.
Professional skater Tyshawn Jones has become a household name across the realm of skateboarding, and as a result, he’s been able to gradually accumulate brand partnerships with the likes of Supreme, New Era and adidas, the latter of which he has his own signature silhouette. Moving into the Spring season, Jones is adding one more imprint to his catalog in Warby Parker to unleash his hand-layered sunglasses collaboration.
For this newest team-up the Bronx-born skater chooses to apply his creative touch to Warby Parker‘s ‘Harris’ frame. The majority of the real estate on these glasses relies on an icy “Whirlpool” tint for stylization. However, it’s the all-over “Bone” checker patterns that evoke emotions of a basket weave and purloin all of the attention. On the interior side of the right temple, a “Tyshawn Jones x Warby Parker” notation is engraved in a cool grey hue, while a barely visible “WP” hit is pasted in beige font towards the rear end of the left side temple.
If interested in picking up this eyewear piece, you can find it available now via Warby Parker starting at $95 USD. With this collaboration, Warby Parker will also be making a donation to Tyshawn’s alma mater the Albert Einstein Middle School.
