Air Jordan 16 and Converse Chuck 70 Hi "Why Not?" Pack Salutes Russell Westbrook
Acknowledging his pugnacious play and fearless style with bold graphic and material arrangements.

Jordan Brand and Converse have teamed up to salute Russell Westbrook with an Air Jordan 16 and Chuck 70 Hi “Why Not?” pack. Looking to Westbrook’s pugnacious play and fearless style for inspiration, each shoe in the set offers a bold material and graphic mix — one that’s just as unique as the Houston Rockets guard himself.
Both shoes combine materials like supple leather and soft satin, and are adorned with metal studs — a nod to Westbrook’s love of rock and roll-style jackets. Broken chain embroidery on each shoe and a cracked leather print on the Chuck’s lateral side are tact acknowledgments of street basketball’s chain nets and crumbling concrete courts. The Air Jordan 16, back for the first time since 2017, is dressed entirely in black and boasts a milky white midsole, while the Chuck 70 takes on a Fear of God-esque mix of white panels and a black tongue.
Each also features special medallion tongue branding, and the Chuck 70 spells out “Why Not?” in black on its white laces. The dynamic duo comes packaged in a large co-branded box. This release marks the first Jordan Brand x Converse pack since 2017’s “Alumni” offering, an Air Jordan 2 and Fastbreak Low inspired by Michael Jordan‘s collegiate days with the UNC Tar Heels.
The Jordan Brand x Converse “Why Not?” pack is set to release on Nike SNKRS October 2. A retail price has yet to be announced.
