Converse Adds GORE-TEX to the Ever-Popular Chuck 70 Hi
Autumnal amber, olive and black colorways, each equipped with a waterproof GORE-Tex membrane.

Although summer’s sweltering afternoons may seem endless, fall’s cooler and wetter days are right around the corner — so Converse has prepared three GORE-TEX takes on its ever-popular Chuck 70 Hi. Arriving in autumnal amber, olive and black colorways, all three of these high-cut Chuck 70s offer a timeless look that’s bolstered by GORE’s signature waterproof fabrics.
Each pair in the trifecta serves up a single-colored upper, adorned with a traditional Chuck Taylor All-Star ankle patch. This patch features white text on the amber and olive styles, and opts for tonal text on the black pair. The main nod to each shoe’s GORE-TEX build is provided by the laces, all of which feature a repeating GORE-TEX text hit in white. There’s also a small black and gold GORE tag on each heel, sitting below a hi-vis reflective triangle that provides increased visibility. Traditional rubber toe caps and foxed midsoles finalize each look.
All three styles of the Converse Chuck 70 Hi GORE-TEX are available now on the Converse webstore. Each pair retails at $110 USD.
