As rising rapper BbyMutha preps her next full-length project, Muthaland, the Chattanooga-born creative teams with Fly Anakin for a music video to accompany her new single, “11:11.” The woozy, sample-driven song plays atop footage of BbyMutha lounging on the roof of a car and mixing up a concoction at home.

Produced by Paris Aden, the track centers around static-y percussion and warped synths, bolstered by sampled chants for extra snap. BbyMutha ‘s looping flow toys with the song’s cadence, reflecting on haters and flighty boyfriends as she repeats the song’s title in the chorus. “He say, ‘Jesus is the way’ / I drink his blood, now let us pray,” she raps before a thirty-second conversation with BbyMutha’s brother interrupts the beat. After trying to recall her rap name, he eventually delivers a shout-out before “11:11” snaps back to convention.

Watch the “11:11” video above and expect BbyMutha’s Muthaland to launch on August 29.

Recently, BbyMutha appeared on Black Noi$e’s “Mutha Magick.”
