HBO Max has released the second trailer for executive producer Ridley Scott‘s Raised by Wolves, a sci-fi series in which two androids are tasked with raising humanity on a “mysterious virgin planet.”

The trailer above features the two androids Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim) living peaceful existences raising human children until war breaks out in a neighboring human colony. The footage then showcases the human’s attempts to get the children away from the androids while also insinuating Mother was previously used as a weapon earlier in time. She can be seen nurturing the children and also possessing a strong protective nature when it comes to keeping them safe.

Producer Scott will direct the first two episodes of the 10-episode series, marking his television series directorial debut for American audiences. He’s joined by Aaron Guzikowski, who serves as the series’ writer and creator. The show is produced by Scott Free Productions alongside executive producers Guzikowski, David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Adam Kolbrenner, and Mark Huffam.

Raised by Wolves premieres on September 3 on HBO Max.
