adidas UltraBOOST Appears in Collegiate Colorways With Interchangeable Patches
Eight PE-style pairs in total, representing the Miami Hurricanes, Kansas Jayhawks, Louisville Cardinals and more.
When adidas‘s UltraBOOST burst onto the scene in 2015-16, some of the most desirable makeups from its first run were collegiate PEs: shoes representing the Miami Hurricanes, Kansas Jayhawks, Arizona State Sun Devils and more. Now, those PEs are being revived in spirit — if not in exact style — for a new eight-shoe pack of school-specific sneakers with plenty of PE flair.
Consisting of makeups themed around the Miami Hurricanes, Washington Huskies, Kansas Jayhawks, Texas A&M Aggies, Arizona State Sun Devils, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Indiana Hoosiers and Louisville Cardinals, each UB uses its school’s signature hues in bold fashion. The inspiration is taken a step further on tongue patches, thanks to a Velcro base that enables the wearer to swap between a duo of school logos or standard adidas embellishments. All pairs feature their respective institution’s athletic motto on the insoles, and from a performance standpoint Primeknit uppers, full-length BOOST midsoles and Continental rubber outsoles ensure fit and comfort remain unchanged.
All eight of these school pride-filled adidas UltraBOOSTs are set to release on the adidas webstore come September 4. The MSRP for each pair is set at a standard $180 USD.
