In episode three of HYPEBEAST CN’s Breaking Bread, we see show host Boris Yu wine and dine AMBUSH‘s Yoon and Verbal at Narisawa, a Michelin omakase restaurant in Tokyo that prides itself on innovative Satoyama cuisine, or sustainable/organic gastronomy. This episode follows features with MISTERGENTLEMAN and MIHARAYASUHIRO.

Having first met in Boston, Yoon and Verbal came together designing jewelry before officially starting their now-globally renowned fashion label, AMBUSH, in 2012. Since then, the duo’s influence continue to grow, with notable milestones that include Yoon’s appointment as Dior Homme’s jewelry designer in 2018.

Titled “Family,” the duo shed light on growing up, running AMBUSH, and the intersection of food and fashion in this episode of Breaking Bread; whereby when discussing the latter, Yoon muses, “What I like to say is, at the end, there are no rules. What’s most important is the story you’re telling — is it interesting?”

This episode features references to the following:

00:58 – Family background
02:28 – Parents
08:31 – Value
11:03 – Seeking for fun
12:32 – Social Media
13:51 – Running a “family”
