KANGHYUK Officially Reveals Its Reebok Premier Road Modern Collab
Releasing exclusively at Dover Street Market London.
After being revealed at the top of the year and resurfacing in a recent lookbook, KANGHYUK has now officially revealed its Reebok Premier Road Modern collaboration.
KANGHYUK previously worked with Reebok on the sportswear brand’s Advanced Concepts Sole Fury Capsule Series last year, which saw the creation of two SRS Sole Fury models constructed of leftover airbags patch-worked together.
The upcoming collab was designed as a continuation of the Reebok Premier Running line, a sub-division from 2005-2010 that incorporates different elements and gestures from past Premiere Running shoes into a contemporary lifestyle design. The “Jet Black” colorway of the Premier Running Variant 1 from KANGHYUK draws inspiration from the look of car tires, building on the Korean label’s overarching automotive theme found in its seasonal collections.
The shoe features a sleek tonal black colorway with a technical mesh upper and a matching one-piece flow-molded overlay. The dynamic forms are continued on the foam tongue, toe and heel, along with the mono mesh sidewalls. Branding on the shoe comes in the form of a subtle “KANGHYUK” logo hit at the heel, contemporary Vector motif at the midfoot and a smaller traditional CrossFit Delta logo at the tongue. Elevating the shoe is matching DMX RIDE foam-assisted sole unit that continues the tire inspiration.
The KANGHYUK x Reebok Premier Road Modern “Jet Black” is set to exclusively release at Dover Street Market London, in-store and online July 3.
