'Godfall' Unveils New Gameplay Trailer at PS5 Event
The first game confirmed for the next-gen console.
Yesterday, Sony finally unveiled its much-anticipated PlayStation 5 at its “Future of Gaming” event, and along with the console reveal, a range of games were also announced or dropped fresh trailers. Among them is Godfall, which released a new gameplay trailer shedding more light into the brand new title from Counterplay Games and Gearbox.
While the new footage doesn’t fully showcase how the HUD or control layouts would be, there’s plenty of action and provides fans with a closer look at both the heroes they’ll be playing as and the foes they’ll confront. It also reveals more about the fighting animations and sequences, how different weapons look, and the different environments and levels you’ll play through, which heavily reinforce the fantasy aesthetic of the game.
For those unfamiliar, Godfall was the first title announced for the PS5, and will be an exclusive for the platform for a limited time before arriving at the Epic Games Store for PC players. As an action-RPG, it features a brand new loot system designed to complement the third-person hack-and-slash combat gameplay. It also focuses on cooperative modes, supporting parties of up to three players. Other essential parts of the game include both sophisticated character and item customization.
There’s currently still no official release date for Godfall, but it’s expected to release some time this holiday season alongside the PS5.
Elsewhere in gaming, Call of Duty: Warzone season four brings in a whole lot of new content.
