'Call of Duty: Warzone' Season 4 Introduces New 50v50 Mode, Juggernauts, and BR Twists
Learn everything about the massive update.
Infinity Ward has announced Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare, which is available now. Below is a highlight of the new additions.
Modes
Three new limited-timed Warzone modes will arrive this season: Juggernaut Royale, Realism, and Warzone Rumble. Juggernaut Royale players drop into Verdansk and investigate three airdropped care packages containing the Juggernaut suit. Once found, players don the suit and attain higher health and an unlimited ammo mini-gun. The Juggernaut will also have a new ground pound move, alongside a zero-damage fall ability. Lastly, if a Juggernaut is sent to the Gulag, a new suit will resurface for another player to grab.
Realism has the same rules as Multiplayer’s mode of the same name — the Battle Royale matches will feature little to no HUD and an increase in headshot damage.
Lastly, “Rumble” is a new structure of 50v50”Battle in Verdansk in a 50v50 Team Deathmatch face-off. Gear up for the fight by finding weapons on the ground and work with your team to outlast the competition,” says the official press release.
Twists
The new season will also introduce a new mechanic to Battle Royale that randomly occurs at any moment during gameplay — Fire Sale, Supply Chopper, and Jailbreak.
Fire Sale temporarily discounts most of the items at a Buy Station up to 80% or even gives items away for free. It will also allow players to buy back fallen teammates for free, once again providing a third or even fourth chance for teams to regroup.
Supply Chopper brings a non-lethal, but heavily armored helicopter to the battlefield. Much like those in Plunder mode, the helicopter will have a lot of health, and it will require several rounds of bullets and a rocket or two to destroy. Once the Supply Chopper is destroyed however, it will drop at least three UAVS, two armor boxes, munitions boxes, a gas mask, a grenade launcher, and money to the ground.
Lastly, Jailbreak allows every eliminated player to return to the match. These can happen at any time during the match, regardless if a player was waiting for a Gulag match or had been relegated to a spectator, everyone has another chance.
Multiplayer and Other Changes
Modern Warfare will get three new maps playable in Multiplayer, Ground War, and Gunfight mode respectively. Scrapyard from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 returns this season, while Barakett Promenade debuts as a close-quarters map that possess rooftops for high ground. Trench is a map aptly covered with trenches for more covert strategy.
Three new modes are scheduled to arrive during the Season alongside other Multiplayer playlists, one of which is the classic “One in the Chamber” which gives a single bullet with single shot kills. Also, a new Battle Pass has arrived, which includes two new Operatives: the rumored Captain Price and Bravo Six, alongside more weapon blueprints, skins for vehicles, and more.
