A.P.C. London Store Furnished With Aluminium “Cabin Modules”
A new project with Laurent Deroo Architecte.

French clothing brand A.P.C. has continued its long-standing partnership with Parisian studio Laurent Deroo Architecte in a project to furnish its London store with aluminium “cabin modules”.
Entitled ‘Mistral,’ this project is the latest in a long list of collaborations the pair has worked on, most recently teaming up for the A.P.C.’s King Cross Coal Drops Yard store.
Using aluminium panels, unique spaces have been created within the store, as opposed to adding in permanent walls. Each panel has been crafted by Panoramar in Paris, with a honeycomb core, making them extremely lightweight.
Plywood panels make up portions of the walls, floors, ceilings and shelves, a contrast that intensifies the metallic and industrial effect of the aluminium.
Described as “Cabin Modules” by Laurent Deroo Architecte, the two square-shaped ‘Mistral’ volumes form a display for apparel and accessories, while another metallic pod can be found on the lower-level.
Laurent Deroo Architecte has helped furnish over 50 stores globally for A.P.C., with its ‘Mistral’ concept also implemented in its Brooklyn, New York, store.
While the Covent Garden store is currently closed, it’s expected to re-open in the coming weeks. In the meantime orders can still be made via the A.P.C. web store.
