'Machete' Actor Danny Trejo to Give Tour of His 'Animal Crossing' Island
Appearing as an official correspondent on the ‘Animal Talking’ show.
Machete star Danny Trejo will give a tour of his island in Animal Crossing on an upcoming episode of an online talk show inspired by the game. Due to the success of Nintendo‘s Animal Crossing: New Horizons, folks have turned to the delightful title to show off highly fashionable styles, host art exhibitions, and now, even produce talk shows via the title itself.
Animal Talking is an online talk show created by Star Wars: Rogue One writer Gary Whitta, and over the weeks he’s had guests that range from Elijah Wood, T-Pain, and Danny Trejo. Trejo apparently enjoyed his time on the show so much that he agreed to become its recurring correspondent. According to Whitta, Trejo’s segments on the show will feature the actor taking audiences on a tour of his island and introducing them to various villagers he’s recruited to live with him.

In his previous appearance on the show, which can be viewed above, Trejo talked about his passion for cooking, his restaurant chain Trejo’s Tacos, and his new cookbook of the same name. His first appearance as a correspondent will feature his home and what decorations decisions he’s made.
United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently purchased a Nintendo Switch and Animal Crossing: New Horizons and began visiting random islands after allowing folks to send her Dodo codes. As such, Whitta has reached out to the congresswoman to appear as a guest on the show.
Animal Talking airs on Twitch, with full episodes and highlight clips available on Whitta’s YouTube page. Trejo’s segments will begin airing starting in June.
